A fully fledged successful e-commerce site turning a local saddler into a nationwide store
From out-of-town to online
CJ Puddy Saddlery has been selling to horse-owners since the 1980’s and has built up a popular and devoted customer base. Customers return to the store for expert advice, owner Chris Puddy is a Master Saddler, and the great prices and good range of stock.
The saddlery had a very old ‘brochure style’ non E-commerce site, which was rarely updated. We built a fully functional online store and to help with the move online we suggested a new shorter more memorable domain name. Moving from cjpuddysaddlery.co.uk to the more memorable puddys.co.uk has helped build the brand.
We have recently upgraded the website to a WordPress/WooCommerce store, with a cleaner more contemporary design and simpler interface. We have given the staff full training and they now manage all sales, stock and new products with ease.
New features like loyalty cards and promotions can easily be added to the store in the future as the business grows.
While the physical store has recently closed, the website continues to attract customers from all over the UK.
